On your first float please arrive 10 minutes early so the float attendant can provide you with some useful tips. To optimise your experience, please...
CaffeineAvoid caffeine before a float. Caffeine is a stimulant, increasing activity in your brain and nervous system, not allowing you to achieve deep relaxation.
Heavy mealAvoid a heavy meal before a float. Floating on a full stomach can be uncomfortable, we recommend having a light, easily digestible meal 2 hours prior to a float.
ShavingEpsom salts can cause a stinging sensation on cuts or abrasions. We recommend you avoid shaving on the day of your float.
Let us guide your
first float experience
Make yourself comfortable in your allocated Float room. Nobody will be entering until you are finished. Please change into swimwear if required although we advise wearing nothing for an optimal experience with no interference.
Insert ear plugs which are provided. Please take a quick shower to remove any oils or substances on the skin or hair. No lotions or conditioners are required for your pre-float shower.
Float! Step into your Iso-pod, lay down and relax. An optional halo is provided for added comfort. Your scheduled time will start when a short period of soothing music is played. Let your body heal and your mind Float away!
Finish! A short period of music will again be played to signal the end of your float. Remove ear plugs and take a deep shower, removing any excess Epsom salt from your skin and hair. Please use lotion, shampoo and conditioner.
Once you have changed back in to your clothing, please proceed to our vanity room (next to your float room). Hairdryers and mirrors are provided for you to apply any make up, face creams or hair gel.
Make your way to our relaxation room! Help yourself to water or a choice of hot drinks whilst you reacclimatise, you will feel a true sense of calm and mindfulness. Take advantage and enjoy a variety of books or magazines at your preference.
